This review is from: Tonka Chuck's Stunt Park (Toy) I got my son the garage stunt park set first (month ago) - thinking we'd tried this out, but then also got him this stunt park (which I waited to give him until his birthday (now). I had an iffy feeling about this set b/c I had some difficulties putting the other set together - it had to be clipped in place just right of the truck wouldn't go on it. ANYWAYS, this one was way easier to put together, and no hassle in getting the truck to do stunts on it. Likes - Chucks RULE! He got the chuck trucks a year ago and loves playing with them, they're the perfect size for little hands, so he's got character recognition with this already. The motorized truck makes it a visually stimulating toy as it moves forward (which the truck is upside down), then flips right side up and continues on it's journey. It's teaching my son patience to watch the truck do all it's tricks before getting all handsy and moving it around. The lift part is a bit tricky (he's small and hasn't been doing his GTL so lifting that has been tricky/tiresome) to get the chuck up the ramp and onto the track. Dislikes - I don't know if I'd LOVE this as much if I didn't have the garage set for him to play with. It's pretty amazing seeing it go around and connect with both sets. I now feel like we need to get the WHOLE set (all 4 parts) in order to get the pure joy that this set is supposed to bring. Which makes this playset well over $100 AND in my mind, for that price point, I'd rather get him more thomas toys (he loves choo choos). The garage stunt set - although was fun, didn't keep his attention as much after the first couple of days. We'll see if having the 2 playsets together will. (Highly doubt it - it's been 30 minutes and as I'm typing this review, he's moved back onto his TONKA CHUCK & FRIENDS ROWDY THE GARBAGE TRUCK Carrier) That toy is a lot of fun (will post review in a bit). It's a pretty entertaining set but I just don't think this will keep my kiddo's attention for long. |
